Rabbi Yael

Rabbi Yael Romer lives with her family in Rhinebeck, New York where she actively maintains a private practice concurrent with her work as Senior Rabbi of Congregation Emanuel of the Hudson Valley.

Ordained at the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in 1988, she has been a practicing Rabbi for more than 30 years. She continues to lead progressive congregations in Israel and North America. In May of 2016, Rabbi Yael recited her Doctorate of Divinity from HUC-JIR. She also completed the Spiritual Director program at the Bekhol Levavkha Spiritual Direction Institute.

Building on her extensive Rabbinic experience Rabbi Yael has cultivated a sage counseling approach integrating keen insight, transformative spirituality, and deep compassion.
